Because of the high volume of car traffic set up will entail, we will be staggering the ARTIST ARRIVAL TIMES in two groups. Please understand that despite your arrival time or your arrival order SPONSOR AND FOOD TENTS have a guarantee to the endcaps they are promised and as they are shown on the map. That means that if a sponsor tent is a bit behind in setting up they will still have the ability to set up on the ends. Please refer to your maps accordingly.

Friends, we wish this wasn't the case but Block 9 is now one of the most complicated arrival blocks of ArtsGoggle due to a street closure on Washington Avenue (your traditional arrival block at the east end of Block 9 which is NOT AVAILABLE to use this ArtsGoggle). The street is closed due to a fire that broke out at The Cooper apartment building back in June. Unfortunately the street remains closed due to structural damage to buildings on both the east and west side of Washington Avenue.

THIS YEAR YOU ARE INSTRUCTED ARRIVE ON COLLEGE AVENUE which is also a shared arrival street for the Block 10 artists, sponsors, and food vendors. This means College Avenue will be fielding over 150 partner cars for arrival. This also means that Alston Avenue (your departure street) will be fielding over 150 departing cars while ALSO fielding 50 arrivals from its Block 8 inbound traffic.

IF ALL OF THIS FEELS CONFUSING - DON'T WORRY - THE MAPS BELOW WILL EXPLAIN IT.

HOWEVER, DUE TO THIS UNIQUE CIRCUMSTANCE, WE ARE ASKING BLOCK 9 GROUP A AND GROUP B ARTISTS TO ARRIVE EARLIER THAN ORIGINALLY PLANNED.....

7:00am BLOCK SPONSORS AND EARLY FOOD VENDORS arrive to set up on street first

7:30am GROUP A ARTISTS arrive to set-up.
Group A artists are represented as blue boxes on the site maps.


8:30am GROUP B ARTIST arrive to set-up

10:30am Late arrival assignments such as east end-cap vendors and sponsors

MAPS ARE 'UPSIDE DOWN'

You will enter from Rosedale, driving south towards Magnolia Avenue

The maps are oriented the way your car will be oriented.

All the maps have south at the top of the page and north at the bottom of the page.

This may feel odd to look at now but when you are driving you will be looking at the map in the very same direction you are pointed in your car. The example maps that we will share here explain how to arrive and what the street will look like to you AS YOU ARRIVE. The maps are facing the same direction (facing south) that your car will be facing (facing south) as you arrive. This is similar to the way that your Apple Map or Google Map will automatically orient itself as you drive, these maps are intentionally oriented to your driving view.

OTHER IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE FOR YOUR BLOCK

• SPONSOR FOR THIS BLOCK IS STICKER BROS and their team is assigned a 7:00am arrival time for their 10'x10' booth installation at the WEST ENDCAP of Block 9 at S. Adams Street in GROUP B ARTISTS. Regardless of what time they arrive, Sticker Bros is entitled to this premium endcap space.

• BESIDE STICKER BROS on the GROUP A SOUTH-FACING artist endcap we will have a special installation from illusion chalk artist Jan Riggins. Jan will not have a tent but the Group A West Endcap space of 10'x10' feet is reserved for Jan.

• SOUTH INTERSECTION OF S. ADAMS - This is where THR Harris and CareFlite will set up the ArtsGoggle First Aid tent. They will arrive from the south via the Fairmount Neighborhood, staying out of the artist traffic arriving from the north. See maps.
  
  

• SOUTH INTERSECTION OF WASHINGTON AVENUE - Although technically assigned to Block 10, Ruby Bellows Tintypes is an artist who will arrive early and set-up in the intersection of Washington Avenue, just south of the street, and setting up outside of the traditional artist arrangement. See maps.
  
  

• NORTH INTERSECTION OF WASHINGTON AVENUE - LATE ARRIVAL Also technically assigned to Block 10 they there is an artist arrival on Washington Avenue using your same arrival path. Artists Angela and David Walker will be arriving intentionally late to take a spot in the north intersection of Washington Avenue, also setting up outside of the traditional artist arrangement. They will have their own generator and will be setting up to teach woodturning and hosting craft making classes at their 10'x20' tent in the intersection just north of Magnolia. They are assigned an 11:00am arrival time and know that they cannot set up until the Block Captain of block 9 has confirmed that all artists have arrived to block 9. This artist will also depart early, leaving at 9:00pm to pack up so that they are out of the way for when the show closes at 10:00pm and artist cars must use Washington Avenue to return to the street.
  
  

• WASHINGTON AVE ALSO HAS FOOD VENDOR ARRIVALS FOR THE BLOCK 10 FOOD COURT - We will assign these food vendors a staggered arrival to help ensure we do not have a crush of food vendor arrivals at the same time getting tangled in the artist cars arriving and leaving from Magnolia using Washington Avenue.
