INFO FOR PROSPECTIVE VENUES

VENUE APPLICATIONS ARE NOT OPEN AT THIS TIME.

Hello ArtsGoggle Friend!

Thanks for stopping by the ArtsGoggle website to check in. Our team is hard at work on other Near Southside community events, but we ask that you please save the date for the 2025 ArtsGoggle on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from noon to 10:00pm.

Behind the scenes, our Near Southside staff is working to build the tools, partnerships, and plans needed for this year's festival. In fact, we're making some important improvements to the ArtsGoggle registration process for prospective artists, musicians, food vendors, and venues. This is a labor and time intensive process that requires quite a bit of testing, so we want to share that while we have a goal for when registration will open...we cannot be certain. Registration is tentatively planned to open on Monday, March 3, 2025. Please watch for updates on this website. If we must delay the registration open date, we will share that update here.

We're looking forward to your partnership for this year's event.

What are venues?

ArtsGoggle Venues are businesses, property owners, and spaces wishing to host artists or entertainment during ArtsGoggle. Official venue status allows businesses located inside the Near Southside district boundary, and especially focused on those in Magnolia Village, to participate as an official ArtsGoggle venue by having their programming promoted via the event program and communications.

TO QUALIFY AS AN ARTSGOGGLE VENUE

A venue must contribute one or more of the following to the ArtsGoggle experience at your business:

  • An artist/s showcasing their artwork. Artists are also required to register with ArtsGoggle and pay a discounted indoor artist fee of only $50.
  • Live music or performance art booked by the venue
  • An ArtsGoggle-specific menu that provides quick service food options or a focus on culinary-arts experiences.
  • An artistic experience that adds value to the event, such as a public art piece, interactive art opportunity, artist demonstrations, or artist talks.

PARTICIPATING AS A VENUE IS RECOMMENDED FOR BUSINESSES THAT ARE IN OR NEAR MAGNOLIA AVENUE.

It's important to understand that the public rarely strays far from the primary outdoor festival site on Magnolia Ave for art viewing experience. Businesses located inside the Near Southside, but outside of Magnolia Village, are certainly welcomed to participate as an official venue at ArtsGoggle and can apply.

Live music programming does attract ArtsGoggle patrons across the entire district. Businesses hosting live music further from Magnolia are strongly encouraged to register as a venue so that their music programming will be promoted on the poster.

All registered venues receive the benefit of ArtsGoggle promotion and listing as an official venue in the ArtsGoggle digital program. We simply ask that venues participating outside of Magnolia Village be aware that promoting their programming is important to garnering crowds at ArtsGoggle. Self promotion is critical for venues outside of Magnolia Village.

VENUES AND ARTISTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING ALL ITEMS NEEDED.

Please make sure that you communicate directly with your artists to discuss how, when and where they will be allowed to display inside your venue. It is critical that the venue be willing to stay in close communication with the artist or entertainer they have booked for ArtsGoggle to ensure a successful day for all involved.

ALL ART SHOWN MUST BE MADE BY THE ARTIST PRESENT.

ArtsGoggle does not require a minimum or maximum for the number of works shown by an artist, so please work directly with the artist to make plans for your expectation. Please use good judgment in providing enough artwork to have a strong presence but not so much that it overwhelms our venues or patrons. Simply put, ArtsGoggle only allows for the sale of original art. Please do not make arrangements with artists who are representing factory-made or mass produced items. No direct sales or multi-level marketing companies allowed. Art that is clearly not the original work of the artist, that is imported or purchased from a wholesaler or artwork that is deemed inappropriate (eg: discriminatory or offensive) by Management will not be considered, and if it is identified during the festival the artist/booth attendant will be asked to leave without refund.

LIVE MUSIC AND/OR PERFORMANCE ART AT YOUR VENUE

Any OUTDOOR live music planned for ArtsGoggle must be carefully coordinated with ArtsGoggle event management to ensure a considerate environment for the on-street artists and other musicians playing nearby. In simple terms, we want to avoid sound conflicts. Indoor music should be carefully coordinated with any indoor artists showing at your venue.
