Because of the high volume of car traffic set up will entail, we will be staggering the ARTIST ARRIVAL TIMES in two groups. Please understand that despite your arrival time or your arrival order SPONSOR AND FOOD TENTS have a guarantee to the endcaps they are promised and as they are shown on the map. That means that if a sponsor tent is a bit behind in setting up they will still have the ability to set up on the ends. Please refer to your maps accordingly.

BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY DETAILS TO THIS BLOCK, I AM INCLUDING MANY OF THE BLOCK 7 MAPS TO HELP GIVE YOU CONTEXT.

BUT, AS A REMINDER, YOU ARE ASSIGNED TO BLOCK 8.

MAPS ARE 'UPSIDE DOWN'

You will enter from Rosedale, driving south towards Magnolia Avenue

The maps are oriented the way your car will be oriented.

All the maps have south at the top of the page and north at the bottom of the page.

This may feel odd to look at now but when you are driving you will be looking at the map in the very same direction you are pointed in your car. The example maps that we will share here explain how to arrive and what the street will look like to you AS YOU ARRIVE. The maps are facing the same direction (facing south) that your car will be facing (facing south) as you arrive. This is similar to the way that your Apple Map or Google Map will automatically orient itself as you drive, these maps are intentionally oriented to your driving view.

OTHER IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE FOR YOUR BLOCK

THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST COMPLICATED BLOCKS OF ARTSGOGGLE...BUT DON'T PANIC

WE'VE GOT THIS.

WE ARE JUST ASKING FOR EVERYONE'S VERY THOUGHTFUL CONSIDERATION OF ALLLLLLLL THE MOVING PIECES ON THIS BLOCK SO THAT WE CAN ENSURE A TIMELY, CALM, AND TOTALLY MANAGEABLE SET-UP.

YOU WILL ARRIVE VIA S. ADAMS STREET

• S. Adams Street will handle incoming traffic for block 8 arrivals.
  
  
  
• S. Adams will also handle outbound traffic for block 9 artist cars leaving their block after the set-up.
  
  
  
• S. Adams will ALSO ALSO ALSO handle Block 10 outbound traffic due to a street closure on Block 10's traditional outbound road Washington Avenue. The street closure on Washington Avenue is the result of The Cooper Fire where two large apartment buildings caught fire with Washington Avenue running between them. S. Adams (your inbound street) will handle a DOUBLE-OUTBOUND traffic load as well as your inbound traffic. Please bring your patience with you....
  
  
  
  
• S. Adams street should be manageable. It will handle approximately 150 cars though so if it is congested just work with your block captain and fellow artists to be patient and find solutions.
  
  

HOWEVER...

• Henderson Street is also complicated because...
  
  • the entry point for all artists arriving to Block 7 for set-up.
    
    
  • Henderson is ALSO the arrival point for all of the food vendors setting up in the food court.
    
    
    
  • And Henderson Street is ALSO ALSO the exit street for all of the Block 8 artists who are departing their block after they have dropped off their tents.
    
    
    
  • And ALSO ALSO ALSO Henderson Street is being used to host the WEST MAIN STAGE just south of Magnolia
    
    
    
  • And finally (also also also also) Henderson Street south of Magnolia is where Loot Rentals will be setting up a nice Community Lounge Area with expensive rented furniture for all day relaxing
    
    
    
• • So Henderson Street is BUSY and all partners must have their arrivals and departures timed carefully for success for all.

• SPORTSWEAR GRAPHICS is the official Block Sponsor of Block 8. They are instructed to arrive at 7:00am and set up their 10'x20' sponsor tent on the WEST ENDCAP of Block 8 at Henderson as shown on the map. This will be the official ArtsGoggle Tee sales booth for the entire festival. Regardless of what time they arrive, Sportswear Graphics is entitled to this endcap booth.
  
  
  FOOD VENDOR ARRIVALS FOR INSIDE THE DIRT PARKING LOT - We are asking for your very early arrival. Food trucks and trailers in this area will need extra maneuvering space and time and it is much better if we do all this before - LONG BEFORE - artist cars begin to arrive by the hundreds.

• SOUTH INTERSECTION OF S. ADAMS - This is where THR Harris and CareFlite will set up the ArtsGoggle First Aid tent. They will arrive from the south via the Fairmount Neighborhood, staying out of the artist traffic arriving from the north.
  

• FOOD VENDORS we will be placing a ICE BOX behind Cherry Coffee located just south of Magnolia on Henderson filled with bags of ice. We welcome you to use ice from the ice box but ask that you please track your ice usage. We charge $5.50 (exactly what we are charged) per bag and use the honor system. After ArtsGoggle we ask that you please settle up with us to report your ice use and pay for any bags used.

• MUSICIANS ARE ASKED TO WALK THEIR INSTRUMENTS INTO THE AREA and not bring their cars into the site plan, as it will not be possible at all to bring cars onto the street during the event. Musicians are welcomed to park in the block 8 parking lots that are assigned to artists and other vendors for parking. Performances are 45-minute sets starting every hour on the hour.

ALL OF THESE SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS ARE CRITICAL TO UNDERSTAND FOR A SUCCESSFUL EVENT.
