SET-UP TIMES

Because of the high volume of car traffic set up will entail, we will be staggering the ARTIST ARRIVAL TIMES in two groups. Please understand that despite your arrival time or your arrival order SPONSOR AND FOOD TENTS have a guarantee to the endcaps they are promised and as they are shown on the map. That means that if a sponsor tent is a bit behind in setting up they will still have the ability to set up on the ends. Please refer to your maps accordingly.
 

PLEASE PAY EXTRA CAREFUL ATTENTION TO YOUR ARRIVAL TIME ON THIS BLOCK. IT IS CRITICAL THAT LOAD IN GO SMOOTHS TO ENSURE SUCCESS.

BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY DETAILS TO THIS BLOCK, I AM INCLUDING MANY OF THE BLOCK 8 MAPS TO HELP GIVE YOU CONTEXT. BUT, AS A REMINDER, YOU ARE ASSIGNED TO BLOCK 7.

MAPS ARE 'UPSIDE DOWN'

You will enter from Rosedale,

driving south towards Magnolia Avenue

The maps are oriented the way your car will be oriented.

All the maps have south at the top of the page and north at the bottom of the page. 
 

This may feel odd to look at now but when you are driving you will be looking at the map in the very same direction you are pointed in your car. The example maps that we will share here explain how to arrive and what the street will look like to you AS YOU ARRIVE. The maps are facing the same direction (facing south) that your car will be facing (facing south) as you arrive. This is similar to the way that your Apple Map or Google Map will automatically orient itself as you drive, these maps are intentionally oriented to your driving view.

MAGNOLIA MAKE BELIEVE ON 5TH AVE SOUTH OF MAGNOLIA

This year, we are hosting a very special "kids zone" called the MAGNOLIA MAKE BELIEVE. This area is being curated by early childhood expert Emily Skipper McDermott of Near Southside Montessori and will involve approximately a dozen partners throughout the day. The MMB is located in 5 pre-set tents on 5th Avenue just south of Magnolia Avenue, saddled on the street of 5th Avenue between The Watch Preserve and the historic Magnolia Centre buildings. Magnolia Make Believe partners will arrive from the south via 5th Avenue and will come and go throughout the day. 

In many ways the Magnolia Make Believe is a 'self contained area' and will be managed by Emily. It will not impact Block 6 artist arrivals in any way. But, it is a very visible and exciting area that will draw families to Block 6 so I am sharing it with you to be aware. Many thanks to Emily Skipper McDermott and the amazing partners of the FREE-TO-ENJOY Magnolia Make Believe area. 
 

BEGINNING AT 7:00AM the team from Loot Rentals - the official Furniture Sponsor of ArtsGoggle - will begin loading in a treasure trove of furniture that will become the Magnolia Make Believe lounge area. The Loot Rentals partners should follow this map for their arrival. They will be arriving from the south through the Fairmount Neighborhood and this will prevent them from being in conflict with any artist arrivals for this block.

OTHER IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE FOR YOUR BLOCK

• Three Bird Nest is the BLOCK SPONSOR. They have a pre-set rented tent that will take the first 10'x10' on the WEST ENDCAP spot in Group A south-facing artists and are assigned to arrive at 7:00am. Regardless of what time Three Bird Nest arrives, they are entitled to this space. 
   
   
• Block 7 has a TABLING PARTNER, who event partner that has paid a premium for the corner spot for promotional purposes and as such is GUARANTEED THE WEST ENDCAP in Group B artists. Fort Worth PTA, will arrive at 9:00am to place their tent as the first 10'x10' on the WEST ENDCAP spot in Group B north-facing artists before Group B artists begin arriving. No matter what time Fort Worth PTA arrives, they are guaranteed this space.

...BUT DON'T PANIC

WE'VE GOT THIS.

WE ARE JUST ASKING FOR EVERYONE'S VERY THOUGHTFUL CONSIDERATION OF ALLLLLLLL THE MOVING PIECES ON THIS BLOCK SO THAT WE CAN ENSURE A TIMELY, CALM, AND TOTALLY MANAGEABLE SET-UP.

• Henderson Street is
  • the entry point for all artists arriving to Block 7 for set-up.
     
  • Henderson is ALSO the arrival point for all of the food vendors setting up in the food court.
     
  • And Henderson Street is ALSO ALSO the exit street for all of the Block 8 artists who are departing their block after they have dropped off their tents.
     
  • And ALSO ALSO ALSO Henderson Street is being used to host the WEST MAIN STAGE just south of Magnolia
     
  • And finally (also also also also) Henderson Street south of Magnolia is where Loot Rentals will be setting up a nice Community Lounge Area with expensive rented furniture for all day relaxing 
    
    So Henderson Street is BUSY and all partners must have their arrivals and departures timed carefully for success for all. But also in addition to those things...

FOOD VENDOR ARRIVALS FOR INSIDE THE DIRT PARKING LOT - We are asking for your very early arrival. Food trucks and trailers in this area will need extra maneuvering space and time and it is much better if we do all this before - LONG BEFORE - artist cars begin to arrive by the hundreds.

• FOOD VENDORS we will be placing a ICE BOX behind Cherry Coffee located just south of Magnolia on Henderson filled with bags of ice. We welcome you to use ice from the ice box but ask that you please track your ice usage. We charge $5.50 (exactly what we are charged) per bag and use the honor system. After ArtsGoggle we ask that you please settle up with us to report your ice use and pay for any bags used.
  
   
• MUSICIANS ARE ASKED TO WALK THEIR INSTRUMENTS INTO THE AREA and not bring their cars into the site plan, as it will not be possible at all to bring cars onto the street during the event. Musicians are welcomed to park in the block 8 parking lots that are assigned to artists and other vendors for parking. Performances are 45-minute sets starting every hour on the hour.  Brooks Kendall with Afallon is coordinating all details for musicians.
