ARRIVAL TIME ASSIGNMENTS, RESERVED SPACE, GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS, AND ALL OTHER PARTNER TOOLS & RESOURCES ARE LOCATED HERE:
Because of the high volume of car traffic set up will entail, we will be staggering the ARTIST ARRIVAL TIMES in two groups. Please understand that despite your arrival time or your arrival order SPONSOR AND FOOD TENTS have a guarantee to the endcaps they are promised and as they are shown on the map. That means that if a sponsor tent is a bit behind in setting up they will still have the ability to set up on the ends. Please refer to your maps accordingly.
7:00am BLOCK SPONSORS AND EARLY FOOD VENDORS arrive to set up on street first
Sponsors tents are represented as yellow boxes on the site maps.
Food vendors are represented as green boxes on the site maps.
8:00am GROUP A ARTISTS arrive to set-up.
Group A artists are represented as blue boxes on the site maps.
9:30am GROUP B ARTIST arrive to set-up
Group B artists are represented as sage green boxes on the map
10:30am Late arrival assignments such as east end-cap vendors and sponsors
As shown on the map
All the maps have south at the top of the page and north at the bottom of the page.
This may feel odd to look at now but when you are driving you will be looking at the map in the very same direction you are pointed in your car. The example maps that we will share here explain how to arrive and what the street will look like to you AS YOU ARRIVE. The maps are facing the same direction (facing south) that your car will be facing (facing south) as you arrive. This is similar to the way that your Apple Map or Google Map will automatically orient itself as you drive, these maps are intentionally oriented to your driving view.
Your block is a fairly straight-forward artist block with only a few small exceptions. The great news is that your artist parking is VERY CLOSE to where you arrive and set-up so you'll be close if you need to pop by into your car throughout the event. You are also one block away from the artist lounge, more great news.
It is also fair to warn you that beside you to the west blocks 16, 17 and 18 will all load in on St. Louis Avenue - your departure street - and we expect St. Louis to be CHAOTIC at best. This means you may need lots of patience with your departure as your car leaves Magnolia Avenue after set-up. Worst case scenario (which isn't bad at all) is that you wait a few minutes or your volunteer can help divert traffic off of your block into your parking lot which actually has a driveway entrance off your block. That driveway is easily accessible to all except the first few artists to set-up as their tents will come a bit further west than the driveway (again see maps)
Last thing to note, There are two EXTRA SPECIAL artist arrivals as the final artists to create an end-cap for your eastern edge and will arrive last.
Thomas Barrington has an Airstream trailer and will arrive at approximately 10:30am as the FINAL ARTIST TO SET UP IN GROUP A actually pulling the Airstream away from the artist tents and making more of a u-shaped endcap.
At 11:00am Desra Harrington will pull her art school bus onto the street, finalizing the end-cap u-shape, as the final artist to arrive to the street.
Pulling both an Airstream and a school bus onto the street, after all artist tent arrivals have occurred, make take a little thoughtful timing and checking in the with Block Captain of Block 19 as you arrive. Please make sure Thomas and Desra to do that. The spacing is shown on the diagrams but depending on how artist arrivals go you may need to delay a bit, scootch back east a bit, or just adjust accordingly. I trust your instinct for whatever you believe makes the most sense. You should have tons of room to work with as blocks 20 and 21 are not used for this year's ArtsGoggle.
