Behold, a 10 foot tall cat dancing down Magnolia Avenue followed by his friends, a cheeky raccoon and a majestic barn owl. These magical creatures are all part of this year's ArtsGoggle programming thanks to the support of Willow & Wise, a luxury apartment community in the Near Southside's South Main Village, located at 218 W Broadway Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104. The Willow & Wise team LIVES in the Near Southside, and because they call our community home, they were inspired to add an extra special surprise to this year's event - puppets that represent the wildlife of our urban village.

ArtsGoggle is more than a mile long, and a big day for everyone involved! But, parents and guardians with infants are undoubtedly juggling a few more responsibilities at ArtsGoggle and this year we aim to make their experience event better. The Near Southside offices are located directly across the street from Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center, with a birds eye view of their renowned women's center. Our staff sees hundreds of women coming and going with small infants in tow, which inspired a new addition to this year's ArtsGoggle for nursing parents. The Lactation Station is a new climate controlled private nursing tent at Henderson and Magnolia, just outside of Cherry Coffee. Mother's are invited take a seat to feed their baby in the luxurious lounge with soft fabric arm chairs, end tables, lamps, rubs and throw pillows. Custodial teammate are on hand to keep the area in tidy order for all users throughout the day.

This is just one of many service's supported by Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center at this year's ArtsGoggle. Located on Block 1 of the festival at 8th Avenue and Magnolia, they are a full-service hospital dedicated to providing quality healthcare to our community. Their not-for-profit Fort Worth hospital celebrated 100 years of service in 2006. They have 515 licensed beds and offer a broad range of medical services, including programs of excellence in cardiology, transplantation, oncology, and women's and children's services.

Two years ago, our event team was working late to put the finishing touches on that year's stage plan. The bands were booked, the banners designed, and the stage was rented but something was missing. We needed one more little sprinkle of magic to make the stage really shine..something special. And, as chance would have it, scrolling through our email we stumbled across a message from a new Fort Worth-based event rentals company. From the very first glance of their website, we knew that Loot Rentals was something different...dare we say, something special. By morning, we'd made contact with the owner of the company and had proposed a partnership!

That year, Loot Rentals delivered over 5,000 feet worth of stunning furnishings to turn the ArtsGoggle Main Stage area from a street into a swanky concert venue. This year, out of the clear blue, Megan received an email from a fella named Tom Christenson making inquiry about ways to get involved with ArtsGoggle. Following standard protocol, she sent Tom the 2024 ArtsGoggle sponsor deck and he generously offered to purchase a block sponsorship in support of the event. But a week later, Tom once again reached out to ask if we had any print needs that he could support. Assuming it was a sales email, we explained that most of our printed items were large coroplast signs for on-site use as the festival. Without missing a beat, Tom offered to print all of the ArtsGoggle signs as a donation. ALL of them. Thinking we must be misunderstanding, we scheduled a meeting to discuss - surely he didn't understand the quantity and scale of this SIGNIFICANT order valued at nearly $10,000. No, Tom did understand. And his offer remained. When asked why, Tom explained that his family printing company is a longstanding Fort Worth based company. He wants to support local things that matter. And his employees had been telling him all about ArtsGoggle, their favorite Fort Worth festival. Since our very first ArtsGoggle, Sportswear Graphics has been the official t-shirt partner of the festival. Owners Ted and Dana Settle, now joined by daughter Jamie Settle, are not only multi-decade members of Near Southside, Inc., but evergreen supporters of all our community festivals and events. Sportswear Graphics is a family owned business specializing in custom screen printing and embroidery apparel.

Each year, Sportswear Graphics partners with ArtsGoggle to print the volunteer t-shirts at cost saving the festival thousands of dollars. But, their generosity extends to also printing the official ArtsGoggle apparel sold on-site on the day of the event, financially benefitting that year's featured artist. Additionally, Sportswear Graphics partners with local high school to staff the t-shirt sales booths at ArtsGoggle and donates a percentage of all sales back to the school to serve as a fundraiser.

This year, Sportswear Graphics has proudly partnered with the Green B. Trimble Tech High School Band Program for ArtsGoggle apparel sold on Block 12 at W. Magnolia Avenue and Alston.

As the festival has grown, so have our precautions to ensure that all attendees of ArtsGoggle have a safe and healthy day. You never know when life might throw a wrench in your health. From falls to low blood sugar, heat exhaustion to more serious medical events, we're fortunate to have the emergency medical services of CareFlite on hand at ArtsGoggle.

CareFlite is a Texas, 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation that partners with Baylor Scott and White, JPS Health Network, Methodist Health System, Parkland Health and Hospital system, and Texas Health Resources. CareFlite and its partner hospitals are nonprofit entities committed to high-quality patient care and community service.

CareFlite is the only fully-integrated medical transport company serving North Texas. It offers medical transport in helicopters, an airplane, and ground ambulances. It also provides wheelchair transport. Services are provided by over 650 EMS professionals who put the CARE in CareFlite.

Our friends at Texas Health Resources Harris Methodist Fort Worth are everyday partners of the Near Southside, as their campus and work in the Near Southside Medical Innovation District is essential to our community. But on ArtsGoggle day, THR Harris Methodist also comes to the rescue to provide first aid services for any ArtsGoggle patrons, artist or partner needed basic medical support like band-aids or Tylenol.

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth has a longstanding history of providing advanced medical care. There is an incredible amount of construction in the Near Southside these days, but few projects a built as quickly as ArtsGoggle! In less than 24 hours Magnolia Avenue transforms from a bustling city street with cars and deliveries to a vibrant public parkway filled with pedestrians, stages, and over a thousand tents. This is made possible by a partnership with the state's premier barricade rental company, Buyers Barricades. With offices in Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Dallas, Buyers Barricades could easily be too large to bother with a little festival like ArtsGoggle - after all, construction is booming everywhere in Texas - but they team never fails to make our Near Southside community events a priority. Sales manager Bianca Ortiz has not only supported ArtsGoggle with her wealth of knowledge regarding traffic control equipment, schedules, and policies but the company also donates the all of the necessary barricades for a 21 block street closure to produce ArtsGoggle. While every contribution to ArtsGoggle is vital, we can confidently say that without Buyers Barricades on the team, ArtsGoggle would not happen. Next time you're in need of a street closure, construction fence, or even just a few saw horses for your block party, make sure to give Buyers Barricades a call to place your order.

Our good buddy Austin Farley is a former Near Southside resident and still a close friend of the community. We are fortunate to have learned a great deal from Austin regarding commercial waste services and so each year, around the eve of ArtsGoggle planning, we reach out again to ask one very important question...."Hey Austin, is there any chance that you could donate the dumpsters and trash cans needed to keep Magnolia shining on ArtsGoggle day?" And friends, let's be honest. It is no small ask. With multiple dumpsters, some as large as 18-wheelers, needed to keep the street clean throughout a 10 hour event we're talking about a donation worth thousands of dollars. But Austin and the good-hearted folks at Waste Management come through every time, for more than a decade running. If you are looking for a commercial trash service, we can't recommend them more highly.

As an important anchor in the Near Southside's Medical Innovation District, Moncrief Cancer Institute UT Southwestern already holds a place of great importance to the community, but on ArtsGoggle day our friends at MCI garner double-hero status. Their beautiful community room is transformed in ArtsGoggle headquarters where all artists, volunteers, sponsors, musicians, food vendors and contractors are welcomed indoors to get out of the festival hubbub and enjoy an inviting lounge. Indoor restrooms, ample snacks, and access to festival management are all part of the parks offered thanks to our partners as Moncrief Cancer Institute for serving as this year's ArtsGoggle Artist Lounge Host and Sponsor.

Manning and supplying the artist lounges is a big job for Near Southside business and office manager Becky Bethel, but she always rises to the occasion. Keeping track of all 1,500 ArtsGoggle partners is an important job and thankfully we have Bobby Mays from T&G ID Systems on the job. Bobby is one the Near Southside's earliest supporters and his custom ID company continues to keep ArtsGoggle volunteer, artist, sponsor, food vendor, musician credentials front and center for the festival.

T&G ID Systems has been providing photo ID badges to any size organization for over 40 years. They provide event badges for multiple annual events in Fort Worth, including ArtsGoggle. October can be hard to predict when it comes to the Texas weather but one thing is for sure, scorcher or freeze, ArtsGoggle volunteers put in some major work to keep the show moving. All that heavy lifting and direction-giving means we need a truck-load of water to keep the team hydrated. Our friends at Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center are eager to keep our team healthy and hydrated, so this year's they are supporting the event as ArtsGoggle's official Water Sponsor.

The Block 8 Food Court is our largest culinary showcase at ArtsGoggle! Occupying almost one city block of space, the food court features more than 25 food vendors selling everything from Indian curries to homemade brownies, roasted coffee beans to portobello sandwiches, Algerian meat pies to Turkish baklava, and more. Providing power, wayfinding, seating and cleaning is essential to keeping this foodie-friendly area inviting to all.
