VENDOR APPLICATIONS ARE NOT YET OPEN AT THIS TIME. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE.

FOOD + DRINKS VENDORS

FOOD VENDORS, THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE.

If you have applied, we know you are eager to hear back with an approval. We are working as quickly as we can to place food vendors and send either acceptance or decline notices to all vendors who applied prior to the deadline. If you are considering other events for the same date and need a more urgent response to your application, you can email megan@nearsouthsidefw.org to discuss.
Food vendor applications remain open.
The ArtsGoggle food vendor application deadline was July 26, 2023. Applications received BEFORE July 26, 2023 will be offered priority during review.

However, we will continue to leave the food vendor applications open for late applications.
Late applications will be received and placed in the event that on-time applications do not fill the need ArtsGoggle has for food vendor diversity of product, quantity of vendors, and quality.

So what we're saying is....there's a chance your late application is beneficial to you. There is no fee to apply as a food vendor. And, worst case scenario, all ArtsGoggle food vendor applications are saved as a running database of eligible food vendors for other Near Southside community events and referrals for the 2023/2024 year.

APPLYING IS FREE.

We are specifically seeking vendors who sell freshly prepared lunch and dinner cuisine; non-alcoholic drinks such as coffee, tea or specialty beverages; and snack items such as baked goods, snow cones, popcorn, pretzels and other handheld snacks. There is no alcohol sold at ArtsGoggle as part of the official festival. No exceptions.

Food, sweets, and non-alcoholic drink vendors are welcome to submit a FREE APPLICATION to be considered for participation at ArtsGoggle. The earlier you submit your application the more likely you are to be selected as an ArtsGoggle food vendor. If accepted, the fee is $250 to participate as a food vendor at the event. There are no others fees to participate and the event producer does not take any percentage of sales from the vendor. All sales are kept by the vendor.

FOOD VENDOR VS. CULINARY ARTIST

Vendors who are selling food items that are designed for consumption AFTER ArtsGoggle and that could not realistically be eaten during the event, such as jams, salsas, hot sauces, coffee beans, etc. are welcome to apply for ArtsGoggle using the ARTIST APPLICATION and can select "culinary artist" for your artistic medium when completing the application. Any vendor who applies as an artist and is found to be selling ready-made food products during the festival will be billed an additional $250 food vendor fee on top of the artist fee they have already submitted.

HOW TO APPLY

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS: FOOD VENDOR APPLICATION

STEP 1

Click here to enter the Near Southside User Portal.

  • For new users, create a login and password for our Near Southside portal. You will receive an email to activate your account. You can then return to the User Portal to get started.
  • For returning vendors, please use the same email and password you have used in previous years.
  • If you are not sure if you have an account, try submitting your email and password. If your username isn't found, you have not registered with our system. If it is found but your password is incorrect, you may need to reset your password and can do so following the instructions provided. Or if your username is recognized and your password entered is correct, you'll automatically be logged in and taken to the User Portal Dashboard.

STEP 2

Start your FREE ArtsGoggle Food Vendor Application. Once you’ve started an application you can save your progress and return to it as often as needed. Your application will always be accessible to you from your user portal using your log in credentials.

Through the application, we'll ask you for:

  • Contact information for administrative use
  • Business information to be published in the official ArtsGoggle program including a BRIEF business description and top 5 menu items
  • Promotional images in .jpeg format of your food
  • Details about your type of set up (truck, trailer, tent)
  • The amount of space you’re requesting
  • Any specific location requests

In application, you'll be able to:

  • Tell us if you are bringing your own generator and if so what kind.
  • Request a specific location
  • Request a specific arrival time
  • Tell us all about your business
  • Share any other thoughts or concerns you have

STEP 3

Save and submit for administrative review. Once you’ve finalized your application make sure to “save and submit” prior to July 26, 2023 a midnight. The earlier you submit your application the more likely you are to be selected as an ArtsGoggle food vendor. We will be selecting vendors in real time, not waiting until the application deadline to review all vendors due to this year’s expedited production timeline.

STEP 4

Watch for our response via email and save the date. We’ll be working to get back to you as soon as possible but for now we ask that you put ArtsGoggle on your calendar. You’ll be notified on both your dashboard in our Near Southside user portal and also via email.

STEP 5

IF DECLINED, we apologize that we weren’t able to fit you in to this year’s ArtsGoggle plan and hope you’ll stay in touch with us for future opportunities. No further action is needed.

IF APPROVED, you’ll be sent a private payment link to pay your $250 food vendor fee. You’ll also be emailed a vendor agreement that with the specific vendor requirements for participation at ArtsGoggle. Payment and signed vendor agreement are due by September 1, 2023 to secure your participation at ArtsGoggle.

LOCATIONS

ARTSGOGGLE IS OUTDOORS ON MAGNOLIA AVENUE

ArtsGoggle closes Magnolia Avenue to car traffic from 8th Avenue to South Main Street, more than a mile in length, and opens the street to host more 1,000 art booths and two stages. This creates an exciting atmosphere that completely transforms the street into a vibrant public space and also provides a premium experience for artists participating outdoors. ArtsGoggle site plan aligns all of the artists booths in the center of Magnolia Ave., with artist tents placed side-by-side and back-to-back. Food vendors are assigned to various locations throughout the festival site plan on Magnolia Avenue. We work hard to curate the types of food found at any given location and therefore work to keep same-style cuisine vendors from being too near each other. If you wish to participate at a Magnolia Village private venue where you have already made arrangements, you can submit a specific request for your preferred location in your application to let us know of those arrangements. All food vendors must register with the festival even if they are participating on private land adjacent to the festival site. We will do our best to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability.

Types of vendors accepted to ArtsGoggle:

  • TENTED FOOD VENDORS IN LINE WITH ARTISTS ArtsGoggle reserves ONE of the two endcaps on each block for two side-by-side 10' x 10' tented food vendors that are selling items that do not require cooking or separate generators. The other endcap on each block is reserved for the block sponsor, and block sponsor has first right of refusal for selecting the east-facing or west-facing endcap. These tented vendors receive access to the same generators that artist use and are allowed to use that power supply for powering LED booth lights and charging one small handheld device such as an iPad or phone. Only food vendors who are deemed compatible to be located so near an artist booths will be selected for this type of assigned location.
  • TENTED FOOD VENDORS AT FOOD COURTS Alternatively, tented food vendors can also request to participate at any of the three main food court areas at ArtsGoggle. Tented food vendors who plan to bring their own generator (reminder, generators must be whisper generators only and are required to be placed a certain distance away from the tent by fire code).
  • PUSHCARTS Because of their small size, push carts can be integrated into several places along the event site plan. We often hear from private property owners on Magnolia Avenue who allow us to assign a food vendor to their parking lot and these small, nimble, no-generator carts are the perfect fit. Push carts are also easily integrated into the three food court areas at ArtsGoggle.
  • FOOD TRUCKS + TRAILERS are assigned to one of the three food court areas at ArtsGoggle unless they have made arrangements for an alternate location and received approval for the said location from ArtsGoggle management.

ArtsGoggle hosts a variety of locations for food vendors:

CULINARY ARTISTS VS FOOD VENDORS

If participating as a "culinary artist" and applying using the artist application, all food items must be packaged for consumption AFTER the event. For example, homemade jam, packaged spice rubs, or bottled sauces are allowed to register as Culinary Artists. Homemade cookies, toffee, or popcorns are NOT allowed to register as Culinary Artist because they can be easily eaten on site and should instead register as Food Vendors using a different application. ELECTRICITY ArtsGoggle is proud to provide a limited amount of electricity to all tented or push-cart vendors. This electricity is limited to powering small handheld payment devices such as tablets or phones and booth lights during the evening hours. The electricity provided cannot support cooking equipment, fans, cooling units, or anything with a motor. If you need more electricity, you must provide your own portable generator and we kindly request for the success of our other vendors that it be a quiet-generator. If a quiet-generator is not possible, we will need to place you in an area where you can run a long extension cord to allow your generator to be placed far from your booth where the noisy generator will not impact others.
