This year at ArtsGoggle, we’re remembering a legendary ArtsGoggle partner, Karla King, with a special tribute by Jan Riggins.

Karla was one of the earliest and most dedicated ArtsGoggle artists and served as our Featured Artist for the 2018 festival. Her impact on the event and all those who have the privilege of showing alongside her over the years is unquestionable. Karla’s whimsical assemblage art was iconic, her kind and generous spirit was contagious, and her booth never failed to bring a smile to those who stopped to look.

Though she won’t be with us this year, her husband and son, Tim and Chris King, are carrying on her creative spirit and love for community by displaying their own artworks in her beloved space on Block 2 with 817 Designs.

Our team will miss her dearly, but her presence at the festival remains forever.
