Accompanying the visual artists, the entertainment at ArtsGoggle heavily features local musicians and offers performances from a variety of cultures and styles. In addition, the event partners with arts organizations across Fort Worth to draw attention to their programs. In years past, ArtsGoggle has hosted: the Fort Worth Opera for pop-up concerts; showcased Ballet Folklorico de Azteca for a colorful dance performance; presented a raucous concert from the Flying Balalaika Brothers, a Russian Romani rock trio that utilizes classical instruments with a modern sound; and hosted a stellar headliner performance from indie rocker Sarah Jaffe.
When booking, ArtsGoggle shows strong preference to artists with a personal connection to the Near Southside and Fort Worth and prefer to book acts with original music, not cover or tribute performances. ArtsGoggle strives to host a diverse lineup of regional artists across genres. In that effort, we are working to curate entertainment that reaches a broad audience and offers opportunity to lesser know artists as well as regionally acclaimed artists.
Tony Diaz and the team from Panther City Exchange (PCX) will again be booking and coordinating all of our entertainment. From music festivals, art shows and fundraisers to events that just raise awareness the PCX team prides themselves in working with events that are entertaining, inspiring, and sustainable.
ArtsGoggle performances will start every hour on the hour on two official ArtsGoggle stages main stages. Entertainers are asked to perform 40-45 minute sets. A team of friendly stage managers and volunteers support all musicians performing at ArtsGoggle as we work to share the musical talent of Fort Worth with our community. Thanks for your partnership!
We anticipate booking 20 acts for the 2022 ArtsGoggle and are now accepting booking requests. This is fewer than the 50 or so we have booked in the past, but careful consideration for the pandemic has resulted in a shorten planning period so we are streamlining the 2022 lineup and scaling up the production for an unforgettable return to community events in the Near Southside.
Our two main stages will bookend Magnolia Avenue, located at the west and east ends of the festival.
In addition, various other private stages have always been an important part of the ArtsGoggle experience. Our friends at The Chat Room Pub, The Boiled Owl Tavern, Magnolia Avenue Salon, and various other Magnolia Village businesses have hosted music each year. These stages are privately booked by the venues. We encourage you to reach out directly to these venues for music booking consideration. We will update website with the contact information for private venues seeking music booking at ArtsGoggle as it becomes available.
To apply for consideration, simply fill out this simple booking inquiry form, and the PCX team will reach out to you to discuss playing at the event if space allows. Also, as a courtesy, any artist who applies for 2022 ArtsGoggle booking consideration will also automatically be put into consideration for the 2022 Friday on the Green events. This will be a rolling list that our production team uses to program all upcoming events through 2022.
